This hunting lease is leased and not available. Here is a phenomenal farm being offered in Dewitt County, IL. This 140-acre farm has everything you need to hold and grow big bucks. By far this is one of the best farms I have inspected. During my inspection, I didn't want to leave, I just kept waking, as there were just so many places that I was imagining of hanging a stand and the deer sign just kept showing up all over. The landowner has put a lot of work into this farm, from a select cut (total of 80 trees taken), bush-hogged, and keeps a very close eye on this farm during hunting season. He stated he walked every square inch of this farm during last year's shotgun season and never come upon a hunter or a deer stand. This has a lot to do with locals knowing what type of landowner he is. This farm is perfectly laid out for both archery and shotgun. The crop fields are very secluded, and the corners make for perfect ambush sites. The CRP is burned off each spring and by August each year it will be head high, making for the perfect bedding area. The CRP also connects to the row crops where the deer will never have to leave this farm! The south side of this farm is bordered by a small 40-acre farm and the Illinois DNR conservation, which is the power plant property. Shotgun hunting on the power plant property is done by a draw only, which will have no effect on this farm. In fact, it's my opinion it will increase your odds. When the pressure gets too much on the power plant property the deer are going to come to this farm. Clinton, IL is just a short drive and will accommodate all your needs, hotels, restaurants, etc.
